The Interpretation Centre and tour was amazing.The Guide was born and raised here.As a child he played among the ruins not knowing what this settlement mean't to Newfoundlands tourist trade. We spent 4.0 hrs. wandering all the sites and hiking the trails. Captivating! The Sod Home was truly spectacular in fine detail. The interpreters made you feel like you were living here a 1000 years ago. Our journey takes us back to Rocky Harbour today where we will go to the local fish store and purchase mussels,lobster and ocean catfish, which we will prepare for supper.
